Wide Trouser
Wol Hide wove the fabric for this trouser at a small Pennsylvania mill dedicated to making biodegradable cloth -- and you can feel the intention in it.
The Dimity weave gives the organic cotton a lightweight, slightly crisp hand with a quietly rumpled texture that's neither stiff nor limp; it has just enough body to hold the barrel leg shape beautifully while moving easily with you.
Garment dyed in barley with low-impact dyes, and built with an elastic waist, two side seam pockets, and a back patch pocket.

MATERIALS
Fabric: 100% Organic Cotton (Dimity weave; lightweight; garment dyed with low-impact dyes)
Made: Made entirely in the USA from seed to garment -- organic cotton grown by farms in Texas, spun into yarn in North Carolina, then woven into fabric at a small Pennsylvania mill dedicated to biodegradable textiles, and sewn at a small family-run factory in Pennsylvania. Every step supports domestic resources and local economies.
Sustainability: Wol Hide is an independent Philadelphia-based brand committed to natural and organic materials with minimal chemical processing throughout the entire production chain.
STYLED BY LADDER
Pairs naturally with the Wol Hide Wide Tank in Barley for a tonal head-to-toe look, or wear with a fitted linen or cotton top tucked in to let the barrel leg silhouette do the work.
ABOUT WOL HIDE
Wol Hide is an independent slow fashion brand started and run in Philadelphia by designer Leah D'Ambrosio, who approaches each piece with a holistic philosophy: how will it affect the environment, how will it interact with the wearer, and how can it be made to last.
The brand works with natural, organic, and deadstock materials -- choosing fibers for how they wear on people and on the planet -- with minimal dyeing and chemical processing throughout. Cut-and-sew pieces are made in Pennsylvania at a small family-run factory; knitwear is produced at a family-run factory in Peru and with an artisan collaborative whose makers work from home.
Wol Hide also runs a Circular Shop for resale, because to them, true sustainability means caring about what happens to a garment long after it leaves the studio.
