James Street Co is the independent knitwear label of designer Jess Reese, who studied knitwear design at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising and worked in the Los Angeles fashion industry before returning home to Utah, where she started the brand in her basement with a single knitting machine. Today Jess designs every collection in-house and produces in small batches with traceable, consciously sourced yarns, working with trusted knitting partners in Los Angeles and Lima, Peru, including a solar-powered, SEDEX-certified knitwear factory in LA.
