Each piece is cut and sewn to order — production only begins once a purchase is placed — so only the fabric yardage truly needed is ever cut.

Sustainability: Cut-to-order slow fashion model that eliminates overstock and minimizes waste; any remaining fabric scraps are upcycled into children's clothing donated to local Balinese villagers, or repurposed into floor mats and pillow stuffing so nothing goes to landfill. All Bel Kazan employees in Bali earn a living wage 50% above the local industry average.

Bel Kazan was born from a life-changing journey to Bali, where designer Belinda Kazanci found herself moved by the island's vibrant textiles, artisan traditions, and the warmth of its people — so moved, in fact, that she left Los Angeles to build her vision of a socially and environmentally responsible women's clothing brand there.

Today, the brand operates its own ethically run factory in Bali, where original prints are realized through Indonesian craft techniques and every garment is cut to order to reduce waste.
