The puckered seersucker texture is woven in — not ironed on — which means it's built-in breathability that holds its character wash after wash and never needs to be pressed.

Sustainability: Kapok is one of the most sustainable natural fibers in the world — it grows wild without irrigation or pesticides, is harvested from the seed pods of tropical trees without harming the plant, and is naturally lightweight and breathable. Blending it with cotton gives this fabric a noticeably lighter hand than conventional seersucker while keeping the natural fiber content high. Marine Layer is a certified B Corp committed to having 75% of its products made with sustainable materials by 2030. All manufacturing partners undergo third-party auditing and have signed the brand's Vendor Code of Ethics.
