Disco Ball Necklace

Seven faceted beads -- three in 14k yellow gold, four in sterling silver -- slide freely along a sterling silver rolo chain, catching light from every angle the way a disco ball does: in fragments, in flashes, constantly shifting. The faceted cut is everything here; smooth beads would read as classic, but the facets scatter light with intention and turn a simple chain necklace into something that moves and glitters with you.

The gold and silver beads vary in size -- one 8mm gold bead as a center anchor, flanked by smaller 6mm gold and 5mm and 6mm silver beads on either side -- so the arrangement has a casual, collected quality rather than a rigid symmetry.

EMBLM made this piece as a playful ode to resilience: when life grows heavy, shine brighter. It's a necklace with a point of view, and it wears like one.

MATERIALS

Made: Handmade by a small team of artisans in downtown Los Angeles. EMBLM oversees every aspect of production in-house, ensuring quality craftsmanship and ethical labor throughout.

CARE

Store separately to prevent scratching; clean the silver chain periodically with a soft polishing cloth; remove before swimming, showering, or applying lotions.

STYLED BY LADDER

Wear at 16" or 18" over a simple crewneck or v-neck top and let the beads catch the light as they move. The mixed metals mean it layers naturally with both gold and silver pieces without needing to match.

EMBLM Fine Jewelry was founded in 2019 in Los Angeles by Emily Landers-Sorensen and Mariko Enkoji-Busch, born from a shared desire to make timeless, distinctive fine jewelry that could become deeply personal heirlooms -- pieces that are "at once iconic and intimate," drawing from art, architecture, and the natural world.
