MACHETE is an Atlanta-based accessories brand founded in 2015 by designer Jennifer "JJ" Matchett, who started with four earring designs and a belief that everyday accessories — made with care and intention — could become heirloom-quality keepsakes.

Drawing on a background in vintage buying and a lifelong collection of antique pieces, she built the brand around natural cellulose acetate: a renewable material derived from cotton and wood pulp that offers a responsible alternative to petroleum-based plastics.
